This course provides business intermediaries with an understanding of basic accounting terms and fundamentals. Learn how to read financial statements and tax returns, and apply the information to a business sale during this “boot camp” for those without formal accounting training. This course is highly recommended before taking course #210 and Course #220. There are no prerequisites for this course.   • Describe the purpose and key components of the balance sheet, income statement, statement of cash flows, bookkeeping documents, and income tax returns.
  • Feel comfortable reviewing small business financial statements (sales of less then $1 million).
